Dunrobin Castle & Sutherland Coast Tour

Good To Know

Further north than most day tours go — worth the extra hour

  • One of the most-requested castle tours in the Highlands, and one of the few day trips that reaches Sutherland

  • Falconry display times are seasonal — I'll time the day around them where possible

  • A genuinely different landscape to the classic Loch Ness/Glencoe routes

  • Pairs well with an NC500 Taster Day if you want to see even more of the north coast

Frequently asked questions

No — castle and garden admission is a separate ticket paid on the day. I'll factor the visit into the schedule either way.

Display times vary by season and are set by the castle, typically once or twice a day in the visitor season. I'll check current times before your visit and route the day around them.

About an hour's drive each way, plus stops — further than my closer Highland tours, which is reflected in the slightly longer day.

Of course — the distillery or waterfall stop on the way back is optional and easy to swap for extra time at Dornoch or the beach instead.
